Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users will be able to play games via the cloud on their Apple iOS devices from spring 2021, Microsoft announced on Wednesday. The service was previously only available for Android devices on mobile devices.
Microsoft said the service will be available on Apple iOS through the mobile web browser, obviating the need for the App Store. Earlier, Apple said cloud-based game services like Project xCloud would need to link individual games for purchase on their own app store pages. something Microsoft called it “A bad experience for customers.” Apple opened its operating system for streaming games in September – albeit with major hurdles.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will also be available on Windows PCs through the Xbox app and browser. according to a post on Xbox Wire.
In this post, Microsoft also announced that it would bring cloud games to more countries, including Australia, Brazil, Japan and Mexico, via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and its cloud gaming service launched on September 15th. Membership costs $ 14.99 per month to access the extensive game library and cloud gaming services.
