Xbox gives and Xbox takes away. Wow, that's a lot of strong titles all at once. And I personally am annoyed by it The bunkeras I had simply spent far too long rearranging my storage space on my Series S to be able to install it as it is the only one amnesia Game I haven't gotten around to yet.
The story with Forza is much worse, even though it has nothing to do with Game Pass. On December 15th as we first learned in June, Forza Horizon 4 will be completely removed from all online gaming stores – and all for licensing reasons.
2018 Horizon 4 instantly became one of the most popular games…pretty much ever. Set in the Cotswolds of England (although as someone who actually lives in the Cotswolds I would venture a somewhat idyllic interpretation), it has an amazing Metascore of 92 and a dedicated fan base that is still playing since the final season of the series 77, is coming to an end.
The Microsoft-owned game never elaborated on these “licensing issues,” but one imagines that during its development the rights to use the large number of real-world maps were agreed upon under a limited contract. And given the timing, it would be reasonable to assume it was meant to last six years. I mean, six years, right?! That is forever! They would have known they were aiming for a 2021 release Forza Horizon 5which means that they would be insured for another three years even after the usurpation…
The good news is if you own the game (You don't actually do that own the game), you can continue playing it both offline and online (although the latter will probably disappear at some point). All of the game's DLC was already lost over the summer, but if you purchased any to use with your Game Pass subscription version of the main game, you received tokens that unlock the same thing in a paid version. They expire in June 2026, but use them now or you'll definitely forget. You know what you are like.
So yeah, this is the last chance to do that always buy Forza Horizon 4and it is Currently discounted accordingly in the Xbox Store to $12.
