Yellowjackets Season 2 Power Rankings: Who is the Antler Queen?

Antler, power, Queen, Rankings, Season, Yellowjackets

Things are heating up Yellow jackets Season 2 (or at least as much as possible in the midst of a cold 1990s timeline winter leaving the team starving and freezing). The new season on Showtime has it all: woo-woo cults, mysterious deaths, dogged police officers hanging out with teenage girls, and of course, cannibalism.

Under such conditions, a hierarchy can easily form – particularly one that will bring about the long-awaited revelation of the Antler Queen Yellow jackets has been promising since the pilot was launched. As many mysteries unfold over the first two episodes of Season 2, each week we’ll be going down the Force Rankings to find out who’s ready to take the lead and who’s ready to feed the cannibal cult.

Of course, the criteria for this are a bit loose; similar to Yellow jackets‘ first foray into frosty cannibalism, we play it by ear. Suffice it to say, those who show the steadfastness to rise to the role of Antler Queen (and whether or not they’ve grown closer to her and that title with each episode) will rise in the ranks. And since the antler queen seems to be overseeing the view of cannibalism we get in the pilot episode, stepping on the plate also generally means leading the charge to eat people.

Who is on the rise in the Yellowjacket cannibal cult?

shauna — Shauna took a big step up the leaderboard this week by leading the Cannibal Attack and convincing the rest of the team that it really would be a shame to waste such a perfectly grilled BBQ jackie While Shauna really never had any leader vibes before this very moment, this could easily be her first step towards Antler Queendom.

Lotte — The question of Lottie remains: is she the Antler Queen or more of a High Priestess in the Yellowjacket hierarchy? There’s not much to suggest her modern cult is cannibalistic, but she clearly has something This happens in the way she’s able to slice up parts of her personality as a leader (and in the trippy vision she has of Zombie Laura). She doesn’t ton in episode 2, but she Is Travis already appears in visions as a luminous religious icon. So it feels like this might be a hop, hop, and hop to get your friends to celebratory eat your other friends’ corpses.

Taissa — We know from today’s events that Tai is imperious and has clearly done so some kind of a shitty holdover from their time in the woods. But other than ordering the group to finally put Jackie to rest, she doesn’t do much in Episode 2 (or at least not much, other than hungrily devouring her teammate’s flesh, which pretty much everyone does). She’s having some kind of crazy vision of a madman in a suit, but it’s all happening while she’s sleeping; with Lottie seeming to have things in hand with the spiritual leader, it seems unlikely (this week) that Taissa will be bidding for the crown of horns.

crystal — Crystal moves up the rankings slightly because she’s clearly important, but that’s the problem: she’s a new character for Season 2. Do you really expect the Antler Queen to be a rando who didn’t show up in Season 1? ? Do we think the showrunners just forgot about them? Who do you think is steer this ship, Benioff and Weiss? Anyway, Crystal definitely has a role to play, and one that’s clearly closely related to Misty, but that’s definitely not her story…or her cult.

Travis — Travis never really seemed to care about the supernatural woodiness of the crash — perhaps because he was mostly distracted by Natalie — but he’s made a few moves in Season 2 so far, mostly because he’s pinning his hopes on Javi’s survival to the vaguely psychic-sounding visions hanged by Lottie . So he gets a very slight rise in the rankings; However, he’s still a dude, which means his chances of gaining too much power in this particular teenage girl cult are slim.

Who falls into the Yellowjackets food chain?

Delivery trucks – Van is a great kid and would make a pretty formidable enforcer or right-hand man for any aspiring leader of a bovidae-type sect. So far, however, she doesn’t seem to be a great leader herself, so she falls this week. On the other hand, she’s deeply embedded in the cult story, which we know because she’s one of the three girls who appear at the end of season one and kneel before the altar of the heart.

Natalie — Natalie is one of the few Yellowjackets who hasn’t really changed this week, largely because she’s spent so much time not caring about the general shenanigans of the team. That being said, she takes a small step towards cult leader status by engaging in cannibalism, but she takes a slightly larger step backwards by doubting Lottie and trying to give up the quest to find Javi.

Misty — Misty has lost even the lowest tea-making privileges, so so far in season two it doesn’t look good for her to lead any sort of cult. Well, that’s not much of a surprise since teenage Misty isn’t a great leader at all, but that’s still about as low as her leadership stock has fallen so far.

gene Still largely anonymous, Gen’s chances of becoming Anter Queen are slim. We’re not definitive yet, but it doesn’t seem entirely unfair to call her one of several Red Shirt Yellowjackets who seem destined to be sacrificed to the cruel cannibal god of the forest (or worse).

Coach Ben — The only one to leave the Jackie Fest and seems disturbed by what he sees. His stomach may be morally clean, but without a little extra nourishment he won’t climb the ranks.

Mari — Red shirt. I’m sorry Mari

jackie — Jackie gets an honorable mention just for showing up, but the odds are against her given how dead she already is (and has been for months) and the fact that she was the main meal for the Yellowjackets’ first-ever woodland banquet. However, since she’s still around, at least physically, she gets a spot on the list.

akilah — This Girl was recast for Season 2. This is Red Shirt shit for sure.
