Fallout 76 had the ability to let players down the warheads since launch. Bethesda recently added NPCs to the game with their new one The Wastelanders extension. What happens when you combine these two things?
PC Gamer has seen YouTuber who had done just that. Rattler posted a video on his channel where he received a new Foundation Agreement, a full on chock full of residents trying to turn Appalachia into their home. They are pretty stubborn about this being their new, permanent home, which can be controversial with the player's character.
They are so committed to staying that even a nuke restrains them. As Rattler shows, they just put on their hazmat suits and went back to work. The other guy keeps sweeping the floor, which is … wow, man. I don't think that's necessary, but I respect the turmoil.
This is not the first time that players have played Fallout; in Fallout 3, players can activate a nuke built inside the city of Megaton. This was a bad decision, and it killed everyone in the town (except Moira Brown, who became a ghoul).
However, Fallout 76 it takes place in a shared world, and everyone should have access to the Foundation if they want to complete all the new content. So, the villains just go ahead. It's a nice touch, albeit a bit silly, and I love the idea of all the people who just groan and pull out hazmat suits. Keep killing all you want, Fallout 76
