Two decades ago, Ash, Pikachu, and friends submitted a Mewtwo package. Now, the weirdo psychic feline has taken us back to revenge – not to late-movie but to 21st-century Pokémon players. This weekend, in celebration Pokémon Day, The sword and A shoe Players have the opportunity to eat the city of Max Raid Fight against Dynamax Mewtwo.
Many players on social media have described it as one of the hardest times in the game. Mewtwo seems to be at level 100 and has a protected health bar. Even if you prioritize your champion, you will have to team up with other players to win, and even then, Mewtwo has been straight up and down with good teams of four.
If you are actually able to beat him, you will be rewarded with a treasure trove of rare items. Players online have cooked it has gotten everything from Rare Candies (boosting your Pokémon) to Cowule Caps (a rare item that changes the ability of one Pokémon) to Big Nugget (chunks of gold selling the game at a price that will cover my annual rent). One thing you can't find? Your Mewtwo.
That's right: Unlike the other Max Raid battles, you can't handle this one. What gives, The Pokémon Company?
What's more, access to the Mewtwo Max Raid in the first place is not guaranteed. One Twitter user seek it took 45 minutes to enter the battlefield. This is evident from my experience. Earlier today, I tried for about an hour to join the war, but encountered various error codes, including multiple instances of each of 2617-0502 ("One or more consoles do not respond"), 2-ALZBA-0031 ("You cannot participate because the time for participation is closed ”), 2-ALZBA-0033 (“ You cannot participate because the maximum number of participants has been reached ”), 2-ALZBA-0034 (" No connection found by partner "), 2618-0501 (" Can't communicate with other consoles "), and -0420-6969 ("lol suck"). (Editor's note
Before you try to win the war, you have to ask yourself: what's the point? It is difficult to set up a war, and the potential rewards, although rare, are unrealistic. Rare Candies are great, but they only offer one level. Capsules of ability are cool, too, but you can find them in the Battle tower. And if you're high enough to take a Dynamax Mewtwo, you'll probably have enough money that even a large chunk of gold won't make a difference.
There is only one truly rare prize you can earn by hitting the Dynamax Mewtwo, and it's a useless thing known as bragging rights. Hi, if that's for a reason, you should arrive at 6:59 a.m. on Sunday, March 1, to take down the Dynamax Mewtwo and join Ash's company and company.
In addition to the Max Raid battles against Mewtwo – which you can no longer control, you will be able to fight the Max Raid Battles against the first three starters and their second stage appearance. And yes, you can catch these. (I found Ivysaur, which I briefly captured … and called it "Mewtwo." A small victory!) You can run into Dynamax Toxtricity, an electric / poisonous Pokémon with a Divine-like Attack Special.
