The Strategic Homeland Division, better known as SHD, is a division of the United States charged with maintaining peace in the most urgent cases. Since the busy day spread by Flu of the Dollar, the Section has struggled to maintain peace across the country, confronting armed groups and terrorists.
After last Washington D.C. totally illegal, we received an urgent notice: New York needs it. The organization's back-up agent, Aaron Keener, has released a new strain of Dollar Flu virus, which has created violence in the city and taken to the south of the city. In addition, along with four of its members, he has attacked and fired a majority of City staff. Very few are left, alone and facing an enemy that has managed to infiltrate and put New York's largest groups on their side: the Riki and the cleaners.
As if that isn't enough, communities no longer accept Division and don't trust them. They are alone and need help. Time to return to New York. It's time to deal with Keener and his men and bring Manhattan back. Lawyer, welcome to The Division 2: Warlords of New York.
Technical section
Division 2: Warlords of New York is the first expansion of Ubisoft's rifle. With this, continuing the exact events in which episode 3 of season 1 left off, the French developer wants to continue expanding the game world, with a busy campaign focused on the narrative, the only part of which is probably the game.
Because in front of him, where the action dominated everything, in the Warlords of New York we get about ten hours of campaigning in which the narrative and the actions coincide. It is true that perhaps Keener is not the best place in history, but we get a great context and a better story for this campaign. And all of this can be done with his ubiquitous Ubisoft recreating open worlds.
Because there is something this company is able to do to create great, tangible and detailed worlds. And New York is no different. It is true that the map is not as big as Washington or NY itself in the first game, but it is still amazing how much it survived. All objects, buildings, characters and enemies, animals, etc. They have impressive levels, which also shows how well Ubisoft works with Snowdrop.
At this event, at the Warlords of New York we will find a changed New York since our last visit. All the Christmas decorations and decorations from the day the pandemic started began. However, snow and cold have caused mud, floods and vegetation. In addition, during the past six months, different weather events, such as hurricanes, have devastated parts of the city.
All of this is understandable and present in every step we take in the southern part of Manhattan. Wall Street, Chinatown or the Brooklyn Bridge are some of the New York City's existing locations for this expansion. So with all of this, and even though it's a small map, it has enough distance to give us new experiences made at The Division. Random encounters, rewards, collections, etc.
Lastly, it should be noted that, in general, it has given us the impression that the New York Warlords are providing noticeable and clear improvements to other things. Particularly in characters and especially in their speech and movement. Already in the base game they had finished good, but the feeling it gives us is to see Kelso or Faye again that they have made a lot of progress.
In addition, we've never encountered any kind of explosion during our games, something that Division 2 does occasionally lose. Well, we never had fps pumps, bugs, or any other kind of game during our games. play times on Xbox One X.
Playing
The New York Warlords have not changed any of the individual games of The Division 2. The game continues to enjoy a fun shoot, in which it combines with other agencies and a fighting strategy. And if we are a lone wolf, then we will need to make good use of our special tools and weapons.
This is obvious, as we deal with the increase in content and basic gameplay. However, if it took an opportunity for Ubisoft to remodel some of the more crippling features or that users wanted to upgrade. Arguably one of them is undoubtedly the RPG aspect of the title, which is already evolving into what the company calls RPG 2.0.
With the New York Warlords in operation, the menus were simplified, making them easier to navigate. In addition, weapons and information about them have been greatly improved, in addition to clarifying each strong point and what they include in our calculations. With this, users have a much easier time creating a set that best fits their style of play, with very clear and almost concise information. We can now better see how machines improve our health, injury, weapons, or the intelligence of our abilities.
Speaking of skills, the New York Warlords add three new ones available to our agent. This, unlike the basics of The Division 2, will be achieved by defeating each of them known as Kener. These are the capabilities of the fake agents themselves. Lure creates a holographic image of our character, which removes the enemy and allows us to change terrain, retrieve armor, or safely reload on enemy bullets.
Another skill is Trap, which creates a mini-arena for small-scale electronic devices that gain close goals. Finally we have an Adhesive Pump with two different components. The first of these is an explosion, which fires an adhesive fire that comes out in a wide range. The second exception is Burn, which sets the target on fire, creating a flash point that can fire enemies in a large area. Both versions, in addition to their effects, slow enemies and protect them from movement.
Time
Completing the new The Division 2 campaign will take us 10-15 hours. It will also depend on our strengths and whether we play with the other sponsor company or not. The difficulty at this time is very high in the History mode. And it makes all the sense in the world.
First, Rkiers and cleaners are now a much better organized and more developed group. They have new weapons and new archetypes of enemies not included in the first game, which improves their power. Second, because both Keener and his Lieutenants, Kajika, Conley, Pernell, and Dragon, are advocates of The Division's rebellion. What does this mean? That not just governors or party leaders. They have the same military master as us, the same training, and they have different unique skills and tools.
This makes fighting them harder and more varied, each with a different pattern and completely different combat situations. All in striving to achieve a good level of difficulty.
But with this campaign, and as with the base game, we have a complete and comprehensive population. At present, this is virtually endless, as all that is already known is added to the second new press, relating to history, world events and the new timetable.
This, influenced by other style games, invites players to stay active and fight for Washington and New York. And it's a very wise decision, especially since it includes not only the slightest correction in the world, but one that will be, at least for the first season, a new hunt.
As happened with Keener and his men, we can hunt down a new cell of rebellious agents during Season 1. Each of them will be temporarily available and if we can catch or eliminate them all, we can go to their commanders. Without a doubt, it is a great addition that inspires the game and adds much to the power of the endgame.
In addition, we will have various international events that change the gameplay of The Division 2. This adds special scenarios to our games, allowing us to find new ways to approach our work in both cities. Besides, we have four competitions that we can improve on if we meet certain goals, through which we will get a new booty, and then the season passes the first season. This offers free rewards to those who pay for it, with authentic Apex Legends or in Fortnite style. In general terms, these gifts are cosmetic items, such as hats, sunglasses, shirts, etc., or accessories. Nothing can break the balance between agencies when they meet in PVP.
Conclusion
Chapter 2: The Warlords of New York is the first increase in Ubisoft's gun charge and it's a certainty. On the other hand, it shows the gala company's commitment to keeping its community active, not only with the introduction of new campaigns and equipment, but also with the idea of engaging in a timetable that allows them to return to the game in a regular way. Through them, Ubisoft aims to give the finale of The Division 2 finale a dynamic, multi-faceted and innovative hunt.
Again, this hunt promises to be real challenges, with new selfish agencies having to fail. And, according to or seen by Keener and his posters, it will not be an easy task.
On the other hand, Ubisoft is showing that it has an ambitious plan for The Division 2. One that can be expanded over the years and occasionally offers new attractions to its players. New campaigns, looting or looting that increase hours of play and fun. And that there is plenty of room for how to improve the game with the best looter shooter formula. A great example is the redesign of RPG elements or the incorporation of world events into an endgame.
In short, New York's Divol 2 Warlords is a great development, with a great campaign that enhances those points where the first one can fail, and proposes new goals, elements and options in an endless fun and endless name.
