Sony has released a new trailer for ‘Venom 2’, and of course the preview leaves us thinking about the amount of “carnage” that we will see on the big screen when this sequel is released later this year.
“Eddie, we should be out there eating the bad guys,” is heard as Venom addresses his bearer, Eddie Brock, in the beginning of the trailer. Again, Tom Hardy returns to bring to life this dynamic duo of the human and the alien symbiote that won our hearts when he debuted in 2018.
For his part, we welcome Woody Harrelson, who will play Cletus Kasady, the bearer of Carnage, another symbiote who will be the antagonist of this production.
Ever since Harrelson appeared in the ‘Venom’ post-credit scene, fans have been beyond thrilled by Carnage’s presence in the sequel. Above all, because the character is much wilder than Venom, and that promises a much more “carnal” film.
Michelle Williams will return to play Eddie’s ex-wife, Anne Weying, and Andy Serkis was in charge of directing this highly anticipated production. The cast is complemented by Stephen Graham, Reid Scott, Naomie Harris, and Peggy Lu.
‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ should have premiered on October 2, 2020, however, the coronavirus changed the company’s planning. For this reason, the production changed its date to June 25 of this year. However, it had new changes that moved it to September 17 and then to September 24.
For now, we keep crossing our fingers so that production does not have a new delay, but after living an experience like 2020, we prepare for any possible setback.
The upcoming release of this sequel, and the third part of Spider-Man on the way to a launch, we wonder: will there be a chance that Venom and Spidey will run into the same production? We read your opinions.
