Saber Interactive has announced that World War Z: Aftermath will finally arrive first on current-gen consoles and PC next September. Those who purchase it on PS4 can upgrade to the PS5 version for free, and the same for Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.
In addition, the new generation consoles will have an exclusive mode called Horde XL in which there will be many more zombies on screen. It will also be available on PC (Steam and Epic Games), but they will have to wait a while before receiving this mode.
Redesign for everyone
This is because the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S edition won’t be ready until 2022, at which point the PC version will also go next gen. Players have the option to purchase for $ 20 if they already own World War Z, or $ 40 if they don’t have the base edition of the game. There will also be a Deluxe edition that will cost $ 30 or $ 50 (it also depends on whether you have World War Z or not) that will have extra skins.
Beyond the technical details, World War Z: Aftermath will have three new locations (Rome, Vatican and Kamchatka in Russia), a new way to improve our characters with better distributed skills, new melee attacks and first person view. In general, it is a redesign that improves a game that many already liked.
World War Z: Aftermath is coming September 21 to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can check out the cinematic trailers and the gameplay trailer below.
