Since its launch last week, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is the best-selling entry in the Assassin’s Creed series.
In a press release from Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla has had the biggest release in series history after its launch last week.
In addition to selling more copies than any Assassin’s Creed game in its first week, the game had the biggest PC release ever for Ubisoft. The publisher has also published fun statistics that say users have cumulatively traveled four million kilometers. So far 1.8 million players have won at least one drinking game and over 3.5 million of the Orlog dice game have won so far.
“We are really delighted with the enthusiastic response from the players and we want to thank the fans for their incredible support,” said Julien Laferrière, producer of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Delivering this game in the midst of a global pandemic was a true tour de force for our teams and it is great to see the players enjoying the game so much. The launch is just the beginning and we have strong content plans for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that will keep players immersed in their epic Viking saga for a long time to come. “
Earlier this week, it was revealed to be the best-selling game in the UK last week, beating out new releases like Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. In addition to the high sales, it also had twice as many players as 2017’s Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey. Additionally, Ubisoft has detailed the content that will be part of the Valhalla Season Pass. Between now and summer 2021, we’ll be getting DLC expansions in Ireland, Paris, and France in addition to free seasonal content.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC. You can read our review here. We also have a video discussion that you can watch below. As we get more Assassin’s Creed news, we’ll be sure to let you know.
