More details about Freedom Wars Remastered
In Freedom Wars Remastered, players are thrust into a pollution-ravaged future where humans live confined in massive prisons called Panopticons. Each person, known as a “Sinner,” is automatically sentenced to one million years of imprisonment at birth. The only hope for freedom is to fight alongside allies to gather resources, rescue citizens, and take on other rival Sinners.
Coming to PlayStation, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch, the game will offer a number of improvements including 4K resolution, improved textures, and 60 FPS, as well as an overhauled weapon forging system and difficulty adjustments. Players will be able to use Thorns, tools that allow them to move three-dimensionally in combat, climb, and engage enemies. These special weapons not only allow for fluid movement, but are also useful for severing enemy limbs, obtaining vital resources for weapon upgrades.
Within the Panopticon, players will earn “Right Points” by volunteering for combat missions. These points can be used to gain new privileges, such as running for a limited time or performing other activities within the prison. Additionally, Wardens, customizable androids, will accompany players both in their prison life and in battle.
The game features online co-op, allowing up to four Sinners to team up on combat missions to reduce their million-year sentence. This remaster maintains the essence of the original classic, offering players an intense action-survival experience in a dystopian setting.
