The Battlefield 2042 private beta has started with some lucky few being chosen to test the title for anyone. Y according to PushSquareThese players had to sign a confidentiality agreement that prevents them from revealing everything they can see in the media.
However, it seems that some are willing to put this benefit at risk in order to reveal things about the game. In any case, it seems that they are doing it anonymously on Twitter, the user Temporyal has revealed a new game mode that looks a lot like Hunt: Showdown and Escape from Tarkov.
Island escape
These games are similar to the battle royale we already know, only they have a twist that makes them more interesting for many players. In both you must fulfill secondary objectives and when you die you lose everything, but not only for the game but also for some elements of your user account.
Apparently in Battlefield 2042 this would be the Hazard Mode, upon entering the game you will appear on an island and you must go to the extraction point after completing objectives. There will be players with the same goals but also enemies controlled by the AI and all kinds of traps.
As a benefit we have points where we can request reinforcements, such as a robotic dog or buy equipment insurance that will prevent us from losing objects when we die.
According to the same user, Hazard Mode will be available on any map of the title and Electronic Arts raises it as one of the key modes to maintain the life of the game for more than a year.
We will have to wait to find out if these leaks are true, although they make sense. The Battlefield saga needs a contender in the battle royale and it seems that this would be the so-called Hazard Mode.
