The second season of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone streams February 25 to PlayStation, and with it, plenty of new content. We will take a look:
Outbreak: a new Zombies experience
In line with the Dark Aether storyline, Outbreak instructs players to play by objectives on the largest multiplayer maps in Black Ops Cold War.
Hunt down elite enemies using a satellite tracker, escort a Rover that detects dimensional portals, or stand against zombies in confined regions of the Dark Aether – complete your objectives and gain access to Exfil. Will you escape via the helicopter or try your luck in the Dark Aether portal for additional rewards?
There are also new abilities and improvements. Activate the new Frenzied Guard Field upgrade to force all dead creatures to attack the user for 10 seconds, during which time only armor will take damage. Miami Strike (6v6, seasonal)
With the sun shining on the colorful murals of Miami’s South Beach neighborhood, Miami Strike will focus the action in a smaller daytime version of the original map. Whether it’s a white-punch TDM game or a tense Hardpoint battle, the heat is always on in the streets of Miami.
Season two features more new game modes, like fan favorite Gun game. Progress through a set of 20 weapons – starting with a pistol and ending with a knife – to win the match: level up your enemies by taking them out with a melee attack or finishing blow.

Battle in the new Onslaught: Apocalypse map
Playstation 4 and Playstation 5 players enjoy a new map in Sony’s exclusive two-player Onslaught mode *: Apocalypse.
Kill zombies and feed the Dark Aether Orb as it moves through the picturesque Ural Plains village teeming with undead.

New game modes, points of interest in Warzone
The new season brings a new stash of loot to Warzone, including new weapons and operators for Season 2. Plus, play new game modes and explore two new points of interest in Verdansk.
In Exfiltration, players must locate a portable radio in Verdansk and keep it for a set period of time to win the game. The player holding the radio is marked on the Tac card with a stopwatch showing how much time is left before winning. Prepare for frenzied combat in Rebirth Island Resurgence Extreme, a limited-time mode for up to 90 players.
As for the new points of interest, operators are still gathering information on what they found deep on the Verdansk surface, in addition to unreliable radar signals from a strange cargo ship that is believed to have been lost at sea. Although further reports on these new areas have yet to be declassified, all operators have been instructed to explore them at their own risk.
