Last year Google presented Super Bomberman Online R as a Stadia exclusive, the success of the platform has not come but the game as such was quite liked by those who could try it. It was finally a temporary exclusivity by an agreement with Konami and next week the game will be available on more platforms.
The best of all is that it will maintain its free-to-play methodology, so there is no charge to download it since the title remains active through micropayments for skins, mainly our avatar and the color of the bombs since this is a Bomberman after all.
Adapted to today
Bomberman is a saga that was born in 1985 and that has more deliveries than anniversaries, this is the latest version that clearly tries to adapt to current times since it is a free battle royale that is supported by skins, we do not know what more signs of modernity could have.
But, as we already said, the few reviews it had on Stadia were positive. The idea is to play against other players online in Bomberman scenarios, that is, an overhead view in a blocked maze with walls that can be broken with bombs. If you beat them all (or just survive) you move to another stage made up of players who also won.
The rounds progress until there is only one left who will be the winner and will receive more rewards than the rest. We can also choose skins for the avatar and there the Solid Snake one stands out, but Konami plans to add other iconic characters over time.
Super Bomberman Online R will arrive for free on May 27 and will not require PS Plus or Nintendo Switch Online to test it. It will be available on PS4, PS5, PC and Switch and for now there is no news of a version for the Xbox family.
