Nintendo left the segment dedicated to Zelda until the end of E3 2021, so they revealed that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will have a new round of DLCs with this year’s season pass. The first wave of DLCs will be available on June 18 with new enemies, new weapons for Link and Zelda, as well as a new “apocalyptic” difficulty system that, from the name, we assume will be the most difficult.
In addition, they revealed a new trailer for Zelda: Skyward Sword HD that will arrive next month, the images were not exactly new since we remember that this is a remaster of a title from a decade ago, but they served to nurture the last segment of this E3 2021 from Nintendo. In addition, it served as anticipation for the later big announcement.
The sequel goes to 2022
Finally Eiji Aonuma, director of the Zelda saga, came out on screen to reveal that he could show new images of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild 2, the title already has a date (2022). In the images we could see Link above the clouds, so for a moment he remembered Skyward Sword, something that Aonuma later confirmed by revealing that part of the game’s map will be in the sky.
In addition, we could see the typical enemies of the first installment, the Bokoblin, riding a stone golem, as well as other known enemies of the saga. Link seems to be able to continue using magnetism and the stasis tool to momentarily stop time on certain objects and take advantage of this.
We also saw Link use a new power that allows him to pass through surfaces as if they were liquid and finally we saw Hyrule Castle detach from the earth and stay in the sky powered by an energy that seems demonic.
Breath of the Wild 2, which is not an official name yet, will arrive in 2022.
