Bungie has shared a new teaser image of what will be the next Destiny 2 expansion. The image shows a date, August 24, so we imagine that that day we will find out what this is all about. The North American study warned months ago that its next DLCs were going to be quite delayed due to the coronavirus, so it may give us dates in this showcase.
At the time, The Witch Queen and Lightfall were announced, the first for 2021 and the second for 2022. However, the delay will probably push all this content a year further. This doesn’t mean there won’t be any other minor DLCs this year, but the bigger ones, the expansions, will come later.
Expansion Showcase
Today’s teaser shows an image with a logo already shown a year ago and a phrase “survive the truth”. The story of Destiny is one of the elements most loved by most players so these teasers tend to like them. That said, among the responses to the tweet there are more jokes than anything else.
There are also some complaints, but none related to delayed expansions. Almost all are related to bugs or features of the game today, although these always exist in the publications of all online games.
In this way, we put another summer event on the list. For now we have the State of Play tomorrow, the EA Play on July 22 and now this showcase dedicated to Destiny 2 is joining for August 24.
