Bungie has updated his blog with a new entry in which it reveals that it will bring some of the old loot to Destiny 2. The Beyond Light expansion changed the game forever a year ago when limits were introduced to the powers of the weapons that the enemies could give, so the loot had become more or less obsolete.
Now basically eight weapons can be obtained with upgrades that cannot be bought anywhere else. These weapons are: Waking Vigil, Sleepless, Vouchsafe, and Retold Tale. The weapons with these names that are obtained in the Shattered Throne dungeon will be better than if you obtained them in other locations.

The other weapons are: Premonition, Heretic, Blasphemer, and Apostate. Likewise, if you get them in Pit of Heresy, they will be much more powerful and will have exclusive advantages, especially Premoniton, which is exclusive to Pit of Heresy.
The loot practically disappeared from the game in an attempt by Bungie to scale down the game and offer only a controlled amount of weapons as loot. These eight weapons are now on the list of possible rewards and it looks like they will stick around for a long time.
On the other hand, another progression system with vendors will arrive with the new season. Players will no longer need to accumulate tokens, but rather rank up with each vendor to gain access to better items.
With these measures, and other balance adjustments that can be read in the same blog post, Bungie hopes to make the progress of Destiny 2 something more sustainable in the long term. There were complaints from players about the lack of relevant loot, so we will see how this new measure turns out when the 13th season begins on January 9.
Destiny 2 is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PC, and Google Stadia.
