This is one of the first times Activision has delayed a massive post-launch launch.
The company announced the now-delayed release date of the first season in early November and provided fans with extensive information on the Warzone integration.
The first season is expected to include new 6v6 maps and modes, the return of Gunfight 2v2 mode, new Zombies modes, a new ‘Ranked Warzone Experience’, and more.
The season will also bring the first Battle Pass for Black Ops Cold War. The Battle Pass will feature a free, premium tier that will host a variety of cosmetic content for players to earn.
The beginning of the first season will also see the full integration of Warzone into Black Ops Cold War. At this time, Warzone is still tied to Modern Warfare. With the first season, the progression systems will sync and mix between Black Ops Cold War, Warzone, and Modern Warfare. The integration will also make Black Ops Cold War teams available in Warzone.
More information on the content included in the first season will be announced soon.
