A new update for Black Ops Cold War is available with a fix for XP bugs.
Treyarch has released a new game settings update on all platforms to address the issue with weapon XP gain rate on Black Ops Cold War zombies.
The update also increases the weapon XP earning rate in Multiplayer and Zombies modes. Treyarch says more 2X Weapon XP events are planned for December with the appropriate win rates activated.
This fix comes after fans complained about a change that occurred in the November 24 update, which lowered the overall weapon XP rate in Black Ops Cold War Zombies. Now both Multiplayer and Zombies players can benefit from a higher weapon XP earning rate.
Patch Notes:
Following last week’s 2XP + 2WXP event, we’ve made some additional tuning changes to global weapon XP gain rates across the board. Starting today, you will level up your weapons and unlock more accessories faster than the previous standard rate in both MP and Zombies.
We’ve also addressed an issue in Zombies that resulted in lower-than-target weapon XP gain rates in solo matches and later rounds. To thank everyone for your patience, we are planning even more 2WXP events in December.
These are today’s news:
GLOBAL
Progression
- Increased weapon XP gain rates for both multiplayer and zombies.
Zombies
Progression
- Fixed an issue that caused weapon XP lower than target in solo matches and later rounds.
- Fixed an issue where the Napalm Burst ammo mod would not consistently grant weapon XP when equipped.
Multiplayer
Maps
- Nuketown ’84
- It closed an out-of-bounds gap that allowed players to stay alive outside the playable space.
