Call of Duty: Vanguard – Announces Limited-Time Free Multiplayer Access and Return of Shipment

Shipment defines the multiplayer mode of Call of Duty; its size, the smallest in the history of Call of Duty before Gunfight, and its simple design cemented this collection of empty containers as a 14-year mainstay for the franchise’s map pool. During that time, it traveled through three generations of consoles and made it to smartphones, packing pure mayhem in a fun-sized square box.

On November 17, 2021, more than 5,000 days since its first iteration, Shipment will offer all operators of Vanguard a symphony of destruction within numerous playlists.

As of November 2007, Shipment was one of 16 launch maps for Call of Duty 4. It was just a square map with eight sets of containers: four that formed a cross in the center, two sets side by side to the north and south, and two facing east and west. Only two of them could be entered, making it almost impossible to avoid airstrikes and helicopters from above.

First, the map mainly reverts to its original shape, skewing some of the containers so that they are not all parallel. It also adds containers in three of the sets, provides some additional interior space with two open containers in the center, and slightly changes the objects and positions in the four corners.

However, two of the most important changes are not on the minimap: the first change is a single container hanging over the left (north) set of a crane. The second change is that numerous containers have breakable walls, specifically:

– The two central open containers on the ground level, including their tops.

– Three intermediate containers on the second level: the inclined container and the two opposite ones.

– The upper containers on the top (east) and right (south) are placed on the perimeter.

– The lone container on the crane above the left set (north).

2. It’s explosive! Destructible Containers offer great cover and darkness from enemies at first, but soon turn into hollow shells as a match progresses in Shipment. Take matters into your own hands by running, exploding or shooting the wooden containers before the enemy has a chance to hide in them.

3. Don’t blame the crane. A sniper or other operator finding their way into the elevated container could be a nuisance, but dealing with them is as simple as shooting through your source of cover. There is an explosive cannon that can also be fired; this can easily blow someone who decides to settle on the surface.

4. Preparation through benefits.
