Resident Evil 3 Remake will be closer to the action than the second part, just like the original game

When Capcom announced the development and subsequent launch of Resident Evil 2 Remake for the current generation, many players instantly thought about whether the project would also include Resident Evil 3. The reason is that both games are intimately intertwined: Resident Evil 3 begins just before the beginning of Resident Evil 2 and ends after its end, passing many parts simultaneously.

After the existence of Resident Evil 3 Remake is confirmed, with launch for next month of abril, it was time to wonder if Capcom was going to respect the essence of the original game and its differences with respect to Resident Evil 2 (game with which Capcom wanted to launch Resident Evil 3 at the same time). It seems that this is going to be, according to an interview with the game's producers, Masao Kawada and Peter J. Fabiano with Famitsu magazine.

Both producers have commented that like the original, Resident Evil 3 Remake will be more focused on action, that although it was still far from what we saw in Resident Evil 5 or 6, it was less leisurely than the second part. Kawada and Fabiano have also clarified that Resident Evil 3 Remake will have more freedom to add new items (there will be more changes) than the one in the second part, tremendously faithful to the original game.

On the other hand, as we have learned in the interview, there are no plans for the release date to move from that April 3 announced at the last State of Play: the producers say that the game is currently at 90% of its development, focused on the final touches.
