Resident Evil: Re: Verse has gotten off to a bad start in the world of online games, the beta of the game was made public last night but players have barely been able to try the different characters available in the beta. Apparently, the majority report difficulties finding games and cannot play directly.
There are also others who comment that they have been able to find a game effectively and quickly, but the truth is that there are many more users viewing a poster of “looking for rivals …” infinitely and they have not even been able to find the first game online.
Without connection
Recall that Re: Verse was sold a competitive online game so it does not make sense that the beta is available while this is still happening. Capcom has not communicated when it plans to re-enable it or it will at all, but they have apologized for the inconvenience and promise to investigate what is behind these issues.
【Regarding the RE:Verse OBT】
As we are still seeing issues with RE:Verse OBT matchmaking service, we have decided that until further notice to temporarily suspend the OBT to resolve the problem.
We will continue to investigate, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.— Capcom Dev 1 (@dev1_official) April 8, 2021
Players have responded to the aforementioned tweet that the same thing had already happened to the beta for Resident Evil: Resistance, the game that came with Resident Evil 3: Remake. This also functioned as an online exclusively and showed problems getting games in its first days of launch as well so it seems to be a Capcom related problem.
The beta is still available for download in all the online stores of the platforms in which the game is published, but the truth is that the servers are under maintenance so for now it is only storage without use on consoles and PC. Hopefully Capcom can resolve the matter so that players can test the beta and decide whether to purchase the final version of the game or not.
Resident Evil: Re: Verse is included within Resident Evil: Village which will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC.
