Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions launches his character pass later this week. First, players will meet stars from Sweden, Thailand and Mexico.
Starting December 3, Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions players will be able to access some international Superstars through DLC. The character pass begins with only three new characters in the game, but over time, the total pass will include nine new soccer stars. In addition to the downloadable content, all players will have access to a new team in the game’s story mode. Now, you can team up with Shun Nitta and help lead the Otomo Middle School team to victory. Check out the new trailer below.
The first three players to join Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions come from all over the world. Stefan Levin from Sweden brings his expert technique to the table. It will help the created characters learn to dominate the midfield. Singprasert Bunnaak from Thailand brings his powerful legs to the field. His Muay Thai training makes him an incredibly robust opponent who is sure to challenge even the most battle-tested players.
Finally, Mexican Ricardo Espadas takes his dribbling technique with light feet to the goalkeeper position. Introduce the ability to build your spirit gauge as a goalie by dribbling in the open field. That should add a bit of nifty risk-reward to the games you play.
And, of course, the new single-player story school route offers veteran players another avenue to explore. Also, the team has added some new assist modifiers that should help newer players with difficulty. As someone who has played the game multiple times, that should go a long way toward getting through some of the toughest matches in the game.
Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, and PS4. The Otomo story launches on December 2, while the character pass begins on December 3.
