When Cyberpunk 2077 went on sale it was expected that the game would mark a before and after within the video game industry. Unfortunately, the game was chaotic at launch and the Xbox One and PS4 versions were riddled with bugs that made it impossible to enjoy it.
It was heard that studio workers would not receive the bonuses they had been promised due to poor work on these previously mentioned versions. We now know that the executives who run the Polish studio they will receive these bonuses.
Workers will also receive bonuses, but they will be much smaller than those of executives. It must be remembered that the workers had requested more time because they knew that this work was not finished, but the executives did not agree to be able to comply with the last date offered to the users.
This has generated a lot of annoyance within users because the salary differences are quite large and to this must be added the fact that the bonuses should be higher according to the employees who were affected.
A problem within the industry
This problem at the salary level is not exclusive to CD Projekt Red. For example, this week it was announced that the CEO of Activision Blizzard would reduce his salary by 50% due to requests from studio employees who consider that the difference between a Average employee and CEO is huge.
Despite all the problems presented in the versions of the last generation of Cyberpunk 2077, the game managed to sell 13 million copies in ten days, but it was expected to sell a much greater number that was affected by the press and the criticism received before. of the launch.
At the moment we do not know if CD Projekt Red will modify this decision of the bonuses for the employees, but some type of declaration is expected in the next days.
