Cloud Strife history
Cloud was born in the town of Nibelheim and was the neighbor of a young girl one year younger than him named Tifa Lockhart. His father died when he was young and was raised by his mother, not having a very simple childhood since he had no friends. And although he had a strong desire to play with them, he protected himself by feeling convinced that he was superior to other children and, therefore, I didn't need his company.
He was very attracted to Tifa, although he hated his friends whom he treated as immature. But everything just stayed in a friendship from when they were children, especially after what happened after the death of the young Lockhart's mother. And, after her death and convinced that she could see her again on Mount Nibel, Tifa decided to go on an adventure for this great reunion.
Luckily Cloud followed her, and when she misstepped, he tried to catch her, but it wasn't enough. But both ended up falling, although this accident led the townspeople to point Cloud as guilty. This also led young Cloud to blame himself, especially after Tifa's father's ban on seeing or approaching her. And, for this reason, the problems began.
Getting into trouble and fighting, Cloud at age fourteen met Sefirot and his exploits. Taking him as a hero, he decided to become a member of Soldier. A decision he shared with Tifa to try to impress her before leaving for Midgar
His path was not easy since, at first, his dream did not lead him to become a great warrior. But the advance of its history and its firm decision, as we could see in Final Fantasy VII, Cloud became a first class soldier. Although his decision did lead him to become a mercenary and leave his life as a soldier behind when he understood that reality was not as beautiful as his dream.
Of course, without going into too much detail for those who still intend to experience the story with the remake. Or that they still take their first steps within the story and main characters.

Final Fantasy VII
This is the first time we have met the character. We know him as an ex-Soldier and debuting as a mercenary. Especially, on his missions with Avalanche, whom he helps in destroying the Mako reactors to stop Shinra's plans.
Of course, this leads us to meet great characters like Red XIII or another very beloved character within Final Fantasy, such as Zack Fair. All wrapped in a great mystery and where we could see the Mortal Sword, one of the most iconic weapons in the saga.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
Here we meet Cloud when decides to go to Midgar to become a Soldier. Although, in this case, he only becomes an infantry member due to his lack of skills. He meets Zack and they both become best friends.
Following the Nibelheim incident, both friends become Dr. Hojo's specimens, being exposed to the Mako energy. This causes Cloud suffer a loss of your memories, thus giving way to all kinds of consequences in its history.
Movies featuring Cloud Strife
In addition to his great role in Final Fantasy VII, where we meet a complete character and much deeper than he seems, he also presents us as protagonist of Advent Children. A film that, as fans know well, comes with the intention of answering some of the unknowns left by the original title.
In this one Cloud is presented with a new look and a new weapon as he tries to search for answers and assumes that he must live with your actions in the past. You cannot forget it, you cannot simply let what happened happen, but you must accept it. Even when there are regrets that you can't just let go, like the events with Aeris and Zack.
In the film we can see how several of his friends force him to face his pain and to admit some of their mistakes. Among them, the distancing that he himself caused with people or his illness. But it also leads to one of the encounters that he needed most and that brings, as a consequence, a first smile on Cloud's lips after a long time.
Of course, the events in this movie do not come to summarize what happened in the game, but to count elements that follow the game. Therefore, it is recommended for people who have not enjoyed the original title to wait to enjoy this movie.
