Senku’s ambition to go into space is finally fulfilled, thanks to Crunchyroll and the Sent Into Space team.
The independent British agency for close to outer space travel is renowned for taking all kinds of objects to the edge of space, to the sheer limit of Earth’s gravity. In this case, an official Nendoroid figure of the protagonist of Dr. Stone was taken into space, with a special platform that includes a camera to record the trip.
Taken into the sky in a special limited-duration balloon, the protagonist of the new stone age anime can now afford to be an astronaut in the real world. Once in space, Senku’s voice actor Yusuke Kobayashi recounted his impressions of being in space.

Eager to devour a space ramen with a glass of cola, Senku said goodbye by sponsoring the series on Crunchyroll and asking fans to purchase the DVD and Blu-ray of the series, distributed by Kazé in the European territory. A complete publicity stunt that left many fans speechless.
Similarly, the original creator of the series, Riichiro Inagaki, left his impressions. Completely grateful for the effort, he confessed that within the anime still Senku will not travel to space, but this trip would be an appetizer for the future of the series.
A world of science
Published in 2017 in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, by the hand of Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi, Dr Stone tells the story of a post-apocalyptic world where all humanity was turned to stone and only a lucky few wake up 3,700 years later.
Among them are Senku and Taiju, two great friends who, making use of science and knowledge of history, seek to develop an antidote to awaken all humanity.
The anime, full of trustworthy scientific processes, not only envelops us in a great story but we learn about interesting processes such as the interaction of different chemicals and the fermentation process to create wine.
