Dystopian romance is right around the corner. The streaming service Crunchyroll will broadcast the movie ‘Ashita Sekai ga Owaru toshitemo’ in the United States during the month of July.
The original CRAFTAR STUDIOS film arrives as part of the Crunchyroll Movie Night at Home, which offers one movie available per month for the UK, Ireland and occasionally the US territories.
With ‘Ashita Sekai ga Owaru toshitemo’ at last it was the turn of the American audience to enjoy from this Thursday until July 31, to learn more about the vast world of animation.

Shin Hazama has closed his heart since the mysterious and sudden death of his mother during his childhood. With his scientist father busy with research, he can only rely on his childhood friend, Kotori Izumi, the popular and caring daughter of his father’s employer. At the end of their junior year of high school with graduation just around the corner, Shin and Kotori finally begin to move forward together, both in life and in love.
Everything falls apart again when Shin’s father also dies suddenly. But before things settle down, he and Kotori discover the secret behind their parents’ sudden death when they meet agents from a high-tech dystopian Japan that exists in a parallel universe. Among them is Jin, Shin’s “relative self,” who is working against the humanoid weapons Miko and Niko. Since the lives of relative beings are linked, Jin has two goals: to defend the vulnerable Shin to protect their lives and to assassinate Kotori to end the iron rule of his relative self, Princess Kotoko, his deadly enemy and murderer of his fathers. Faced with this new reality, Shin and Kotori must honestly face their feelings for each other, even if the world as they know it will end tomorrow.
