‘Cyberpunk 2077’ promised to be the game of 2020, but sadly it became the disappointment of the year. The CD Projekt Red title went on sale in December 2020, but it did so with many bugs that made it almost impossible to enjoy it on PS4 and Xbox One, consoles for which it was initially developed.
Before it was released, its developers had stated that multiplayer would arrive after the game’s launch. In fact, it was commented that the multiplayer mode was being worked almost as a standalone game that would come after the first DLC.
Now we know thanks to a group of dataminers that some codes related to multiplayer mode have already been implemented within the title. The files reveal some game modes that would arrive in this online mode that fans asked so much before the launch of the controversial title.
Waiting for an improvement
The files were found on the PC version of ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ and are related to two game modes, Heists and deadthmatch. The heists mode would present missions that must be completed by users in a group much in the style of GTA Online. Meanwhile users are still waiting to enjoy the game that was promised and was in development for eight years.
CD Projekt Red reports that the title will be much more playable after receiving two major patches scheduled for January and February of this year. Most likely we will see this multiplayer mode after the first quarter of the year, at which time the Polish studio could fully dedicate itself to the development of this mode without repeating the same mistakes of the past.
We remind you that ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Google Stadia. We remind you that if you want to enjoy it on last generation consoles, it is best to wait for the arrival of this pair of patches.
