Bungie’s online first-person shooter Destiny 2 has been popular for a while now, and since the arrival of the Xbox Series X / S and PS5, conversations about the game seem to have increased. This is more than likely due to the new Beyond the Light DLC that finds players heading to Europe in a new story. And shortly after the DLC, on November 21, the players who were brave enough to give it a try participated in the Deep Stone Crypt raid, and they gave us the numbers.
Crypt of the Deep Stone is a raid in Destiny 2 that took place in Europe, and it is common for teams and clans of up to 6 players to form a fire team in an attempt to be the first to defeat the raid on Day 1. This raid saw the The Luminous clan become the world’s first to defeat him. The figures indicate that the race for the crypt ended in 5 and a half hours. Additionally, 404,000 people tuned in to Twitch to watch the raid race that participated on the first day.
All Guardians who completed the raid prior to December 1 at 9am PST should have unlocked the ability to purchase a Bungie Deep Stone Crypt raid jacket as a reward. According to the figures, 29,814 unique raid activities were cleared on the first day alone in the Crypt of Profound Stone raid.
Other figures take place during the 10 days, registering 258,049 unique incursions in total. Players had also played a total of 7,156,651 hours while racking up 1,100,488,566 kills, and with a total of 85,008,596 kills.
For comparison, we have statistics for the Last Wish and Garden of Salvation raid for the 10 days since those raids were launched. Last Wish saw 3,555 unique raid activity kills, 2,185,983 total player hours, 338,667,495 kills, and 32,734,027 kills.
For the Garden of Salvation, 33,152 unique raid activity kills were recorded, with 2,807,504 player hours, 446,461,881 total kills, and 42,676,699 kills.
Bungie also saw more than 979,680 Destiny 2 players unlock The Lament, an exotic quest in Beyond the Light that finds players completing numerous steps to finally unlock a sturdy-looking sword.
If you want to jump into Destiny 2, it’s available for PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Google Stadia. It’s also available on Xbox Series X / S and PS5 with a next-gen update launching next week.
