With a tweet and teaser announcement, Destiny 2’s Dawn event is back. This year, Destiny 2’s Winter Break event runs from December 14, 2021 to January 4, 2022 and is free to all players.
Destiny 2 has several real counterparts to various real world celebrations. Dawn covers winter events, Festival of the Lost covers Halloween and Day of the Dead, while Crimson Days represents Valentine’s Day, all in addition to a host of other in-game events.
As in previous years, everyone’s favorite space grandmother Eva Levante will bring her baking supplies and Holiday Oven to the Tower. With it, players will be able to create all kinds of cookies and treats to give to their favorite Destiny 2 NPCs. After producing their first Christmas present and talking to Eva, their entire inventory will be opened and players will be able to obtain rewards, missions and upgrades. .
Upgrades are a new system for Dawn and are purchased with Dawn Spirit. Upgrades will last the duration of the event and provide additional event rewards, add the ability for dawn-themed weapons to drop with even more perks, and increase the power of snowballs.
This year, Eva offers two new missions, “Rite of Dawn” and “The dove provides.” By completing these missions, players will unlock the exotic ship Vapoorwill Spin and the legendary sword Zephyr. Players can then use Spirit of Dawn to focus their “Gift in Exchange” boxes to deliver cookies to “Unity Gift Exchanges” or “Vanguard Gift Exchanges” to chase down specific weapon drops from events. La Aurora since they passed.
The dawn snowballs have also returned and have a stasis strike. Players will find lots of snowballs throughout the system, including Europe, in weekly Nightfalls and in seasonal activities. As mentioned above, players will be able to increase the power and potency of their snowballs by infusing the Spirit of Dawn.
In addition to all the events to participate in the 3 weeks of running the event, players will be able to purchase all kinds of armor, ghost shells, emotes, sparrows, and ships related to Dawla Aurora from the Eververse. In addition to new content for 2021, players will be able to purchase ships and sparrows from past La Aurora events. It certainly seems like Bungie has done its best this year in this department.
La Aurora is one of the funniest events in Destiny and paired with others like Festival of the Lost. It’s a festive and delightful way to end the year and break the routine that is the heart of Destiny 2. The Dawn event is now available to all players who wish to participate.
Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X / S.
