NFTs have taken hold of bitcoin fans in the United States and everything seems to indicate that Japan will be the next country to follow the trend with the ‘Animation x Music NFT Contest’ event.
Sponsored by the social network Oursong, the contest seeks to invite animators to explore the world of NFTs by creating their own proposals, which will be judged by an incredible panel of experts.
Among the most popular, you will find the director of MAPPA, Ryu Nakayama, who will be in charge of bringing the anime ‘Chainsaw Man’ to life in the coming months, along with colleagues such as:
- Kenichi Kutsuna (diseñador de personajes en’Hori-san to Miyamura-kun’)
- Keisuke Kojima (key animation in ‘One-Punch Man’)
- Masato Katsumata (character designer on ‘The Quintessential Quintuplets ∬’)
- Michael Tanaka (animation director on ‘Monster Musume Oisha-san’)
- Gosso (animación clave de ‘The Rising of The Shield Hero’)
- Che Pope (hip-hop producer)
Those who want to participate will need to create a short animation attached to a user-created NFT generated through the Oursong service along with the music provided by the platform.
All submissions must be issued through the Thundercore Blockchain as a TT1155 token and each entry must be individually shared on Twitter to request consideration from the judges until August 22.
The winners will be announced on September 2, with the first place obtaining 1 million yen which translates to approximately $ 9,068 US dollars.
The contest is available to all who want to participate regardless of their location, on the condition that the entries have the names of the artists and descriptions in English.
