Yumo, our protagonist, is a college student who isn’t afraid to earn some money by taking down Chaos Beasts for Boss, the overbearing owner of Tumaz Mart. Leo may seem intimidating, but he’s actually caring and protective of his teammates. Bahet is a talented musician who brings his guitar to battle. The Viada is an interdimensional entity turned successful theater actress and model.
It’s been a year since we last saw the Guardians, but Yumo and the gang are ready to get back into the fray and take down some Chaos Beasts with a bunch of improved moves that new and old players will appreciate. . Dusk Diver fans will have a particularly enjoyable time exploring all the ways the combat system has been revamped for Dusk Diver 2.
It might come as a shock, but Yumo retains her electrified melee attack style in Dusk Diver 2. Only this time she has some new tricks up her sleeve. Extend Yumo’s combos with the SP Skill Shining Rush, which quickly closes the distance on your enemies and delivers a thunderclap that sends your enemies flying. Try setting up Wall Launches and Break Strikes with a well-placed Shining Rush. Wall throws stun your enemies and leave them wide open, while Break Strikes extend combos and add damage.
Surrounded by enemies? Let Leo show off his lionheart with one of his signature ground-based SP skills, like Earthquake – Flame. Use it with Leo’s heavy air attack for a roaring combo.
While mastering Bahet’s Sonic Boom Scythe can be tricky, his ability to kill Chaos Beasts increases during aerial combos. Try using SP Skill Circular Blade after throwing a group of enemies with Bahet’s heavy air attack. This simple combo covers a lot of ground and deals decent damage.
It’s true that Le Viada’s SP skills maintain long-range combos, but feel free to take advantage of his close-range air attacks. Pair multiple Light Air Attacks with one Heavy Air Attack and finish the combo with Eat The Bullet. The aerial version of this SP skill shoots towards the ground and can put enemies into a burst state, which can result in easy damage.
Take advantage of the character swap system to help you determine which character combat style suits you best. But don’t forget the cooldown. You wouldn’t want to accidentally switch to a weaker character during a pivotal moment in a boss fight.
Whether you’re looking for some extra damage or trying to get out of a tight spot, support skills are an essential tool that can open up some cool combo possibilities. Experiment with the different support skills of each character and unlock the true potential of your team’s synergy.
Mastering the timing of the counterattack and the right dodges may take some practice, but can prove to be a lifesaver. Restore some of your SP meter with a perfectly timed Just Dodge. Only dodges can be canceled into attacks, opening new opportunities for combo extensions.
Equally rewarding and risky, counterattacks interrupt enemy actions. To time your counterattack correctly, watch out for the red glow emitted by Chaos Beasts when they land a Crimson Strike. Continue a combo after a counterattack by canceling it into an SP skill.
Use Orb Fusion to synthesize upgrades to your gear. At Tumaz Mart, you can use materials and wafers collected from the overworld and the battlefield to perform orb synthesis. Maximize your strength and make your character a cannon of glass by strictly equipping attack orbs, while ignoring stamina orbs or defense orbs that would improve your defense options.
Want to make your character a tank instead? Focus only on equipping stamina orbs. Try different combinations of orbs and orb fusion to discover new ways to improve your team.
