Free-to-play titles are one of the great novelties that developers exploited to the fullest in the last generation of consoles. Names like ‘Fortnite’ and ‘Smite’ made their place within the sector and today they still have a large number of users around the world.
Now we know the plans of Hi-Rez Studios, developers of ‘Smite’. The information was revealed through an online event in which the roadmap of the new season of this interesting MOBA was reported. The eighth season will be called Dawn of Babylon and will feature great news for users.
One of the main novelties is that the game will feature a new conquest map inspired by a Babylonian pantheon. In the same way, we will also have eight new gods within which we already know Tiamat and Gilgamesh. Tiamat looks like a very scary red dragon that will be able to eliminate her rivals without much effort and will arrive in update 8.2 that does not have a release date.
For his part, Gilgamesh is a character who will fight on the front lines of battle and will arrive in Update 8.4 later in the season. In the same way, Hi-Rez Studios reported that this eighth season will have two new collaborations, but did not give more details about them.
New battle pass and more characters
Season 8 will feature a new battle pass and minor changes to the title battle system. This is very good news for one of the oldest games of the last generation of consoles that continues to captivate new users on different gaming platforms.
