Far Cry 6 Analysis
There are times in life when you don’t have time to play it all. Either for lack of time, resources or both, many sagas get lost along the way. Some may have become one of my favorites. He might come to hate others. I’ll never know.
However, what I can say is that there are many sagas that arouse in me a certain curiosity, or by word of mouth, by reading about them everywhere, among other factors. And in this sense, I had always heard and read on Far Cry, but I was never able to take the plunge.
This is something I would like to clarify because although I am a huge fan of Ubisoft (my page hidden on the shelf corroborates this), I have always been curious to try the Far Cry sagaBut I never found the time Until now.
i tell you why i want to be honest with you, reader, since I don’t want you to think I’m a big connoisseur of the saga. However, as a beginner I like to think I can give a new perspective. And under that premise, I have to say that with its pros and cons, Far Cry 6 It sucked me out for good.
The objective: to overthrow Antón Castillo
From the start that Giancarlo Esposito whoever is behind the bad guy just score points, since he is an actor whose the voice is amazing, this being something that is reflected in the video game in a big way. This only adds points, because a classic fictional phrase is that a good story is nurtured by its villain.
In this respect, if the previous enemies to be defeated were equal, I’m starting to understand why they’re the ones on the covers, since the charisma that emerged Anton Castillo not only in every apparition, but in every dialogue, even without being present, it was masterful.
Antón Castillo eats the screen with every appearance
This is a big point in favor, because the voice of this character is masterful both in original version and in Latin Spanish, being the dubbing that reaches us in our lands (as in Portugal it happens with Brazilian intonation). However, This only highlights the shortcomings of the protagonists.
In this aspect, Dani Rojas, although he is not a 100% avatar, he does not stand out so much, sin the story of putting him as the chosen one, not with biblical connotations, but as the axis that moves the wheel after being stopped for years, which is something illogical when you take into account that the war against the Castillo has its time.
Dani Rojas towards the salvation of Yara
This is not at all unusual, since if we are the protagonists, theirs is to fulfill the role we play, but I was pretty shocked that for the simple act of doing something anyone else would like (I made it up), deliver pizza, glorify us by putting ourselves as the best guerrilla in history.
I must also warn that the start is a bit accelerated, since, without too many spoilers, we passed of shut up with our friends to a civil war in just 2 minutes. I understand the message that was given to change the motivation of the protagonist, but it was like taking a 600 and putting it into competition in Formula 1.
Yara, a paradise ruled by a demon
Leaving this prologue aside, when that ending is when the story really begins, showing us a Yara with different locations, all with a Caribbean theme, but creating a certain difference between their places, which we will visit with the aim of overthrow the Castillo.
In this sense, to end the story, I must say that, without being a revolution, Far Cry 6’s plot was sensational, dealing with a subject which, unfortunately, is not so fictitious if we take into account what is usually happening today in many countries. Maybe it’s the latter its reflection with reality, whatever you did to be treated with so much care. Careful, I don’t want to confuse anyone, so be clear that everything is fiction.
Release the madness
Going into the realm of gameplay, I have to say that the best way to define it is to real madness. I have played other shooters in the past but at the start of the game they give me a weapon which I usually get towards the end of others it was a declaration of intent.
And is that all economic resources can be under the control of Castillo, but that does not mean that we can mess it up on the battlefield, bringing down our enemies, whether soldiers or beasts we hunt, one after another.
Finishing everything is a lot of fun
In this aspect, the fight is fast, offering rapid adaptation to any situation thanks to his weapon wheel, accessible with a single button and allowing us to switch from a classic pistol to a flamethrower without messing around.
Besides, there is more depth than it seems, since, both by a system of levels that will unlock new skills, and by the fact that each enemy has different weaknesses, having to choose what to wear at all times requires planning that moves away from come in and shoot like crazy. At least if we want to make it out alive.
Heavy vehicles and weapons
In this it also helps that we can drive almost any vehicle in the game, since the firepower will not only be reflected in the evidence tanks, but also we will have various vehicles with integrated weapons, which can help us unleash chaos without barely ruffling our hair, although, yes, driving is very orthopedic.
On another side, this versatility is reflected in heavy weapons, which are not transportable when usually in the enemy camp, but it will allow them to fall without wasting ammo. Of course, you have to keep in mind that doing what you want has its consequences.
Yara’s elite team can be a nuisance
It manifests itself in a kind of karma system, which results in a Elite Yara Team, who will attack you when you make a splash, who this can be a problem if you are on a mission, since these people do not respect anything.
Maybe those who play in the historical fashion, which is the equivalent of easy mode, don’t have too much of a challenge here, but if you choose action mode, you will sweat what is not written.
Companions for better and for worse
On the other hand, don’t think that we will be alone in the adventure, because throughout the many battles we will have the help from different colleagues
And I must say that it’s one of lime and another of sand, because on the one hand it makes the fight more varied and, to a large extent, they are quite useful, especially because, in the case of animals, some are geared towards stealth and others towards combat.
However, there is a but, and it is that having these colleagues with us forces us to worry about their condition, since they can demolish them, which sometimes forced me to cross a field of bullets for fear of losing Chorizo, Guapo, or the others. And all this taking into account that I had one eye looking at enemies and others at my partner’s icon.
Technical section: Yara’s world
On the other hand, I have already spoken of the diversity at Yara, but not so much its extension, offering a world with much of the aquatic terrain, but which he has a size more than adequate, which is a far cry from those gigantic Assassin’s Creed maps that made me shiver on my way to Platinum in Odyssey.
On the other hand, in the technical part, it is perhaps not the most powerful Ubisoft, but it is undoubtedly a game that fully fulfills its mission, offering realistic characters and a varied environment, where the importance of color can show the way.
Finally, as for difficulty, as I said before, the different game modes are suitable for each type of player, so you can have a big challenge or a walk according to your choice.
Is Far Cry 6 Worth It?
Be direct, I didn’t know what to think of this saga, but seen what is seen, Far Cry 6 encouraged me to try previous titles. I can’t be more forceful with the post, but the truth is it’s a game that, at least, it got me hooked for hours, to the point of wanting to try and get that coveted Platinum ASAP.
I do not know if Antón Castillo is the climax or worst villain of this saga, but with the experience that I lived, Ubisoft has earned my trust in this regard. It is true that things will get lost along the way, since the latin themed soundtrack is brutal, being a real joy for lovers of this genre.
Likewise, I can only point out that although it is a video game, the title boasts a harshness around the reality of fighting an oppressive regime, being a dialogue from Clara after passing the first area one that showed it went beyond a simple fairy tale. For the rest, it only remains to say that Above freedom and below the tyrant.
