Yoshinori Kitase appeared with Cloud’s Buster Sword when Final Fantasy VII Remake won its Grand Prize at the PlayStation Partner Awards 2020 Japan Asia.
Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia held the PlayStation Partner Awards 2020 Japan Asia on December 2, awarding Final Fantasy VII Remake in particular as one of its Grand Prizes. At the ceremony, the Grand Prize is an award given to the three best works by game creators that take place in Japan and Asia from October 2019 to September 2020.
The event itself was quite fun. Well, as long as you are used to the Japanese media and don’t mind the fact that everything is meticulously written and the presenters always fake their surprise. Special mention to Yoshinori Kitase appearing with a Buster Sword and posing as Cloud when Final Fantasy VII Remake won his award.
Yoshinori Kitase mentioned that “the Remake project is just beginning.” We also got to see some development images.
