Final Fantasy XVI Demo Releases Tomorrow

Final Fantasy XVI fans, good news: while Final Fantasy XVI will launch in just under two weeks, you can begin your journey to Valisthea tomorrow with the launch of the game’s demo on June 12.

The demo will give PlayStation 5 gamers a taste of the game’s dynamic world and fast-paced action combat with two long sections showcasing what you can expect from FFXVI. The first is the game’s opening prologue, a roughly two-and-a-half-hour slice of gameplay giving players insight into Clive Rosfield’s past and the events that set him on his current journey. Save data from this part can be transferred to the main game when it launches next week.

Completing the prologue then unlocks a special combat demo, an action-packed roughly two-hour segment. This features an infiltration of a fort at night, with Clive supported in his mission by his trusty wolf Torgal and Cidolfus Telamon. You will encounter various epic enemies and bosses. While you won’t be able to save your progress in this segment of the demo, it will allow you to test out the full range of combat options through numerous unlocked abilities and attachments.
