The Anime Expo Lite Virtual is preparing to provide all the news from the world of anime and manga in our region and among those that have caught the attention of fans is the first trailer for ‘Kamiarizuki no Kodomo’ (‘Child of Kamiari Month’) .
The announcement was published this Wednesday through an official press release that replied the Anime News Network page counting with more details of the projection.
This will be the first time we will see Kanna and her exotic companions on the move on the island of Izumo, which will witness the largest gathering of gods in Japan known as ‘Kamiarizuki’.
In addition to the trailer, the Anime Expo Lite Virtual will feature a panel with special guests such as producers Michihiko Suwa and Uko Oshia, as well as writer and script supervisor Toshinari Shinohe.
The event will take place from July 3 to 4 and unlike previous editions whose digital entry was free, this time it will cost US $ 5 each day.
The total proceeds raised will go to the ‘Hate is a Virus’ Community Action Fund that seeks to support dismantling hatred and racism for Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.
A little more Kamiarizuki no Kodomo
In the story we will follow Kanna, a girl who after the death of her mother can no longer enjoy her only passion until then, the race track, taking her on a fantastic journey to overcome her loss.
For this, Kanna befriends Shiro, a rabbit-shaped messenger of the gods and Yasha, an ogre boy, with whom she will cross the boundary between people and gods upon reaching the Izumo region.
Izumo, now known as Shimane Prefecture, is a region of Japan rich in mythology, as according to legend, in October all the gods gather here to celebrate Kamiarizuki (the month in which there are gods). The rest of the country recognizes this celebration in a different way, since they call it Kannazuki (the month in which there are no gods).
