Fortnite is getting a new skin for Chapter 2 of Season 5, and it’s the Ghost of Sparta himself. That’s right, it looks like God of War’s Kratos is coming to Fortnite, as evidenced by a promo image showing a preview of the skin and an audio stream from the official PlayStation Twitter account teasing the crossover.
As you can see in this tweet from the well-known Fortnite news account HYPEX, the Fortnite Kratos skin is a more cartoonish and softened version of the grizzled warrior from God of War from 2018. That should help it better integrate with the Fortnite aesthetic, but it’s a bit jarring to see Kratos looking like a toy figure, even more so when he imagines him firing a gun.

The official Fortnite Twitter account has not officially confirmed Kratos’ skin for season 5, but when looking on their social media, you will see many other PS4 and PS5 players sharing screenshots of the same promotional image above. I checked my PS5 and couldn’t find it, but that could be because I don’t have Fortnite installed there.
And then there’s this audio stream from the PlayStation Twitter account, which almost confirms that Kratos is bringing his world-destroying power to Fortnite. You can hear Agent Jonesy warning that “the next guy you’re picking up has literally defeated several gods with his bare hands in a fit of uncontrollable rage.” Here, hear it yourself:

This comes on the heels of the epic Fortnite Galactus live event that prelude the start of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5. Along with the start of Season 2 of The Mandalorian on Disney Plus, Mando and Baby Yoda have joined Season 5 of Fortnite. And with Kratos on By the way, it will be interesting to see if we have other heroes from different platforms.
