Following the appearance of UFOs in Fortnite, the first official teaser for Chapter 2 of Season 7 points to an alien invasion.
As Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 begins to wrap up on June 7, fans have already begun to speculate what Season 7 might bring them, and at the moment it seems almost all the signs are pointing to aliens. Recent in-game challenges have seen players interact with CB Radios and even repair telescopes across the Fortnite map, and late last month, data-miners discovered hints of UFOs appearing in the game.
Last night, fans began to notice the first official instances of what appear to be UFOs in Fortnite, as some players are being randomly abducted at Risky Reels. After a beam of light shoots out from the sky, players are transported to different locations on the map. Now, the first official trailer for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 has been released, and it seems to hint at the theme of an alien invasion.
The season 7 trailer reportedly appears as an announcement on the social media app TikTok, however the trailer has not been officially posted on any other social media channels. The very short trailer only shows the Fortnite logo along with the words “they’re coming” and a June 8 release date, all set with the mysterious purple glyphs, a strange blue lightning bolt, and what sounds like muffled voices and electrical noises. in the background.

Although the teaser has not officially appeared on social media channels, it can be viewed in the form of a still image on the official Epic Games website, dispelling fans’ suspicions of a hoax. The streak of blue light that appears in the Season 7 Chapter 2 teaser looks almost identical to the one that now kidnaps players in the game. Previously, the phrase “they are coming” appeared in the promotional teaser material for the seventh season of alien style that was sent to some Fortnite players. And while the purple glyphs have appeared multiple times in the game before, the Fortnite news Twitter account FNAssist notes that these appear to be completely separate.

These are NOT Kevin Runes, they are the alien symbols from the ARG and Crop Circles, but are now seen in purple energy/light. It may use a similar power source!

Fortnite has become somewhat notorious for the way it taunts fans about upcoming in-game updates and events, so fans are beyond excited at the prospect of an alien invasion coming to the game soon. Recently leaked documents show that a crossover featuring Samus Aran from Metroid in Fortnite was previously omitted for some reason, but an alien-themed season sounds perfect for the character.
Regardless, fans are happy to have confirmation of the start date for Chapter 2 Season 7, as in the past, the end of one season did not necessarily mark the beginning of the next. While many have gotten used to crafting both primary and mechanical weapons in Season 6, it should be interesting to see what alien-themed weapons could make their way into the game in Season 7.
Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X / S.
