Fortnite developer Epic Games is introducing a new subscription service to their Battle Royale. Announced today, ‘Fortnite Crew’ will be available starting December 2 with the arrival of Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 5.
For £ 9.99 / $ 11.99 / $ 11.99 a month, subscribers will receive the full Battle Pass for each season. Each month, they will also receive 1,000 Turkeys to spend on whatever they want in the in-game store, and a monthly Crew Pack, a cosmetic pack that will always include a new outfit and at least one accessory, all of which are exclusive to subscribers and never will appear in the store.
You can buy a Crew subscription in the store and cancel it at any time. If you have already purchased the applicable Battle Pass, the 950 Bucks you used to pay for it will be automatically refunded.
Earlier this month, Epic surveyed some of their players and asked if they would be interested in a subscription service very similar to Fortnite Crew. Suggestions included exclusive Turkeys and cosmetics, but also asked if players would want to pay $ 15.99 or $ 18.99 for the item, which could mean that player feedback encouraged Epic to adjust the price downward.
Fortnite Crew is only a few days away, but before that, players will have to deal with the impending arrival of Galactus. One of Marvel’s greatest evils is heading into battle royal on December 1 at 4 p.m. ET to end the War of the Nexus. Players will need to log into a special playlist to watch the event, but whatever happens, it doesn’t look like this is the end of Fortnite’s super-powered crossover, as the game’s creative director Donald Mustard puts his plans with Marvel. it could last “many, many, many years.”
