Tips for becoming the action hero
Fracked offers the ultimate fantasy of being able to step into the shoes of the action hero. It’s inspired by classic action cinema, made possible by video games and enhanced by the power of virtual reality. Face off against the legions of interdimensional enemies known as the Fracked, with complete freedom of movement, head-to-head combat, and an arsenal of interactive and powerful weapons.
To celebrate launch week, let’s take a look at three key tips that will really help you kick that crystal-clear butt this summer.
1. Use the environment to your advantage
Like any great action movie, you’re outnumbered and up in arms. You are the first line of defense. Become the action hero. Save the planet. With a diverse assortment of weapons, you will outsmart and outsmart the enemy. Using the environment to your advantage will be the key to your success.
We’ve implemented an immersive, grab-and-go cover mechanic that totally anchors the player in the world. If it’s catchable, it’s covered. On their own, The Fracked can be tackled easily. But once they go down in numbers, you’ll need to use tactical cover to dodge the onslaught and leverage your advantage. Run from cover to cover, get the best angles on your opponents, and feel like the unstoppable hero of the story that you are. Don’t be arrogant.
You will also have complete freedom of movement, with zip lines allowing you to descend on enemy positions. When the Frackeds start to swarm, you’ll be grateful for those methods of evasion and redirection that allow you to take back control of the situation.
2. Know when to use fight or flight
This fast-paced shooter has complete freedom of movement. With a diverse range of traversal methods, coupled with intuitive individual movement, you’ll be immersed in the world of an action hero that allows for speed, pace, and role play.
Fracking is not on track. It gives you the features you expect from a traditional first-person shooter, including the ability to strafe and back, all with intuitive controls that give you choice and options when bullets start flying. .
Enter among the Fracked, use your wits and 360 degree movement to check all your angles and chase them away. When the action heats up, look for shelter, ziplines, climbing points and any other exit! Get together and go back.
On the ski slopes, the action doesn’t stop, it accelerates. Naturally tilt your head left or right to control your direction of movement. Use the variety of different roads on the mountainside to avoid or confront enemy pursuers and guard towers! Head-based motion tracking is a simple yet elegant solution when your hands are busy during a firefight.
3. When to use your arsenal
In Fracked, you have a diverse range of guns to help you fight any scenario, from our basic interactive weapons to special limited-use weapons. The grenade launcher that can stagger and take down the towering brute known as The Blaster. Once he’s down, shoot his weak spot. The revolver is powerful enough to shoot through walls, perfect for use in cover, and can keep Explosive Screamers at bay with one shot. You’ll need to be responsive to any given situation, painting the environment for that perfect addition to your arsenal. Be resourceful with what you have or find what you need to be successful.
