Despite the chaos, uncertainty, and food crisis that the world has experienced in recent months, video games have offered little opportunity for madness to consume the world. With all the cities locked in their houses, video games have become a hobby, but they are also not immune to what has been a chaos in the world. It was in this case that the delay of The Last of Us Part II came to an abrupt end.
With very little to be enjoyed at this time of destruction, and the schedule that will see many more games set before the end of the year, The Last of Us Part II delay, caused by a coronavirus, looks like the latest new hit Millions of people around the world can do nothing but stay home and they are hoping for the best right now. Unfortunately that was just the beginning.
OVER: NAUGHTY DoG BUILDS A MESSAGE AFTER PERMISSION
By now, many have heard of the massive leaks of Last of Us Part II circulating on the Internet. Obviously, i cutscenes, highlights of the building and other details are now free on the market. We are all now exposed to pirates, except those willing to sacrifice the Internet. While I have no doubt that The Last of Us gameplay is a stand-alone product, the narrative is a major draw for many, and because of leaks, that artwork is now ruined.
So how did we get to this distance? The sad truth is that, frankly, it's all been a series of events that caused the game's leak. Thinking about whose fault it is is a broader concept that is appropriate. Maybe it's because of part of the Crunch tradition in Naughty Dog that forced an unhappy employee to drop a game, maybe it's part of a delayed coronavirus, or maybe it's part of a toxic online culture. inability, or unwillingness, to allow people to enjoy less happiness.
If we removed any of those factors, maybe things wouldn't be where they are now. If The Last of Us Part II were released on February 21, the Internet would have continued its life, awaiting the release of Prophecy of Tsushima, and thus marking the successful final year of PlayStation 4.
It should be clear that no video game developer can blame the coronavirus epidemic or the consequences that this has brought. All of this is the result of many other things the entertainment industry is never ready to deal with.
RELATED: SECONDARY FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR
The question now is whether Naughty Dog was given enough time with the game's initial delay. From the early release of February, until the unfortunate release of May, they have been helping to print the game. But if that situation persists for a long time and perpetuates the performance of 100 hours, which is surprisingly common in the industry, and is said to be a daily thing for Naughty Dog, it is not surprising that an unassuming employee gave up the game.
That doesn't mean that anyone who ran the game is innocent, and that the borrower is an employee for the first time. The leak was a very specific goal, simply to judge by the amount of content being shared. This reward was not intended as a small payment either to make fun of of what was to come, but the purpose was to allow the Internet to do what it does best: to do something wrong. Whether it was retaliating against Naughty the Dog, or trying to ruin everyone's sight, the move worked.
For those who are now sharing the leak, dropping links or photos in less-than-expected places, I want you to remember that people will see them, knowing that this action is nothing more than a seafaring impact on culture. that does nothing but harm the industry.
All things considered, video games are not essential to the grand scheme of things and having someone who's pure is not a big deal. But it's hard to say that the established camaraderie of what should be on the Internet, especially in times like this, is not damaged. Distributing these destroyers does nothing more than add fuel to the fire that has ignited the hard work of the engineers, the hobbyist's expectations, and the potential to ruin the solid experiences of game players.
UPDATE: TITLE ALREADY HAS BEEN SOLVED VERY LAST AFTER OPEN
For those who are unfortunately destroyed, it's important to remember that the end of the game is a key episode, but the story is also much bigger than the last 15 minutes. Those who found themselves entering the nest of mature information, knowingly or unintentionally, would be happy at least that there is still a game to play, and that the journey will be larger than the sum of its parts. Storytelling that stays out of music is not enough to add an emotional element, without a game to fill it, and without proper development, don't make the story. Spoilers are certainly not the last of us for part II.
For developers, fans, and anyone who doesn't want the game to be rewarding, this is a difficult time. It is an unfortunate situation with no real solution. It's something that the Internet may forget in the coming weeks, but as of now, in this case, as it were, it's something that could reduce the overall product to become one of the latest in gaming.
The Last of Us Part II will be released on June 19 on PS4.
