Genshin Impact update 2.3 has brought a double banner replay, which means there were no new characters in recent weeks. However, miHoYo’s official social media accounts have already revealed two new characters that players will see in update 2.4 for Genshin Impact, Shenhe and Yun Jin.
The most recent Genshin Impact 2.3 livestream has revealed which two characters players will have the options to roll over the next three week period. Eula is one of the strongest DPS characters in the game and has been on the character banner for almost three weeks alongside Albedo. However, many fans are now ready for Ittor’s arrival, although there are questions as to which four-star characters will accompany him.
Genshin Impact update 2.3 isn’t even halfway through and new leaks over 2.4 are already emerging which will apparently bring a new region called Enkanomiya. However, a recent post on the Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit has drawn attention to the current banner by revealing the four-star characters that will appear in the second banner cycle for update 2.3.
According to the leak, the banner will include the following characters:
- Arataki Itto – the five-star character from Geo Mandoble
- Gorou – the four star Geo bow character
- Barbara – the four-star Hydro Catalyst character
- Xiangling – the four-star Pyro character from the spear gun
Adding two new characters to the same banner will be largely offset by adding Barbara and Xiangling, which can be obtained for free through a couple of missions. Arataki Itto has been leaked multiple times in recent months and players will finally get a chance to shoot for him. This witty character has quickly become a fan favorite thanks to his interesting looks and goofy demeanor. He is most likely a DPS character considering his ascension attribute is Critical Damage, which already gives him an advantage on the DPS scale against most characters. When it comes to its Elemental Burst, it will provide a buff for a couple of seconds, similar to Razor’s or Beidou’s Elemental Burst. The buff will allow his normal, charged, and submerged attack to deal geographic damage.
Developer miHoYo has intentionally put Gorou on the same banner as Itto because they have great synergy. The entire Gorou team relies on having multiple Geo users in their group. He is actually one of the weakest characters in the game if not paired with two one or two Geo characters. A recent post on the Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit has revealed that a Geo party with Albedo, Itto, Zhongli, and Gorou has slightly stronger DPS potential compared to when you swap Bennett for Gorou.
Genshin Impact is now available for mobile devices, PC, PS4 and PS5. The Switch version is in development.
