The Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 is a race machine made by Aston Martin Racing to compete in the GT1 race. The base car is the DB9, with its name taken from the DBR1, the first racing car of the Aston Martin DB series that won the 1959 Le Mans 24 Hour Race by finishing 1-2, as well as many other sports car competitions. .
In addition to strengthening the car's chassis, the entire body panels are replaced with carbon fiber without a roof. The excellent interior design of the Aston Martin road car has been upgraded, even the dashboard was replaced with carbon fiber with less weight. The car is lightened over 600 kg this way, weighing only 1,100 kg.
In addition to the wider fender, there is an additional undererspoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser and wing, over the bottom of the car are made to be completely roofed with improved aerodynamics.
The 5.9 liter V12 engine powered the ECU engine, raising its power from the 449 BHP / 58.1 kgfm road car to 599 BHP / 71.4 kgfm. This has to do with the Xtrac 6-speed transmission.
The DBR9 GT1 won its 2005 racing race Sebring 12, and the GT1 category disappeared at the end of 2011, with excellent racing performance. In 2006 it won the team and drivers title in the ACO Le Mans Series, and in the FIA-GT it won the manufacturers title. In 2007 and 2008, it won the GT1 category of the Le Mans racing race for 2 hours, respectively.
