Hajime Isayama, the creator of ‘Shingeki no Kyojin’ (‘Attack on Titan’), reveals the favorite manga of Special Division captain Levi Ackerman.
Levi is considered one of the most popular characters in both manga and anime and it is no wonder, thanks to his skills, his cold gaze and his love for cleanliness, he has managed to conquer more than one.
That’s why it’s no surprise that fans are interested in which manga humanity’s strongest soldier would read after a long day of slaying Titans or even as an escape after a failed mission.
The good news is that we now have the answer thanks to the author’s most recent interview after the manga’s last volume was published and translated by Twitter user Hourlylevi.
According to Isayama’s words, Levi would take as his favorite manga ‘Vanitas no Carte’ (‘The Case Study of Vanitas’), the work written and illustrated by Jun Mochizuki.

Getting to know Levi Ackerman’s favorite manga
We already know all about the captain, so it is time to talk about his favorite manga, ‘Vanitas no Carte’, which transports us to the trip in the airship La Balleine to Paris, where Noé Archiviste meets Vanitas.
Vanitas is a human who claims to be a vampire doctor and is named after his master. Healing them of the curse of the Blue Moon vampire that causes them to act predatory against their will.
To heal them he uses the Book of Vanitas, a book connected to the original Vanitas, the Blue Moon Vampire, hated by the Red Moon Vampires who make up traditional vampire society.
Noah and Vanitas join forces to heal vampires, but the threat of an unknown force called Charlatan who appears to be responsible for corrupting sick vampires looms.
