For those unfamiliar with the Play at Home program, it’s PlayStation’s way of making things easier for gamers staying at home during the coronavirus pandemic. The show offered two free games last year, but in 2021, players will receive four months of free content. Things started in March with Ratchet & Clank, while April has featured 10 different indie games (which are still available for a few more days). Once downloaded, Play at Home games are free forever, with no strings attached! With so many games available, gamers are sure to find something that they will enjoy.
The coronavirus pandemic has had a huge impact on the video game industry, from canceled events to delayed games and even a shortage of game consoles. While vaccine distribution has increased around the world, games continue to provide a strong form of escapism for gamers. The free games offered through the Play at Home program could help some players stop thinking about the pandemic, even if it’s only for a while.
You can download Horizon Zero Dawn forever from now until May 14 as part of PlayStation’s Play at Home campaign for April. There are also a couple of days left to take advantage of nine other games that Sony is giving away. You will find the full list below, but feel free to download the ones you want to play as they will only be available until April 22.
