Nioh fans, I wanted to send a thank you message on behalf of Team Ninja and myself to everyone who played our Nioh 2 Open Beta last month.
It was a great learning experience for us as we carefully examined you guys playing the demo. We are very pleased with the large number of responses included in our post-game questionnaire. Our team has thoroughly read and reviewed everyone's positive feedback, and with this we are working hard to build the final game. On a side note, the Nioh 2 Open Beta demo and its storage data can now be deleted. For those of you who found The Mark of The Demon Slayer, be sure it won't be deleted even if the open Beta demo data is deleted.
In the meantime, I would like to give you guys a brief review on some of the key features we are working on to improve the final version.
In order to deal with some parts that felt unreasonably difficult, we would be changing the balance of all the action of the Yokai and strengthening some special moves and making them more manageable. There will be some modifications made to control the level of punishment in the Dark Realm as an addition to the merits in which it escalates the maximum damage of Ki against the enemy Yokai and the total control of the player Ki to be repaired.
This is just one of the many improvements we are making as we develop and improve teaching materials, improve action and level design, add more settings to the character creation system, improve UI, sound, online mode and more. more… Needless to say, we cover every aspect of the game, scrutinizing every detail to make sure the final product is tested to enjoy in the coming months.
You can read the full account of what we want to do (click each page to expand), as well as the player response results from Open Beta, below.
I look forward to more Yokai excitement at the launch of Nioh 2 later this year. Thanks again for all the support. Burn the samurai!
