Players have been patiently waiting for a new boss in Crytek’s unique PVP and PVE shooter as it has been part of the roadmap for quite some time. And while Hunt: Showdown has had a lot of content in recent months, the most exciting reveal could be just around the corner.
Crytek has spent the last few months especially building anticipation for its new boss. Even as the massive and exciting 1.5 update for Hunt: Showdown was released, including gameplay changes, new weapons, and the massive custom ammo overhaul, players have been patiently waiting for the new boss. Crytek has been using TheCrowWillFly hashtag and counting down the days to something big, and recently released a new video showing what appears to be the new boss and a new event.
The short trailer released yesterday for Hunt: Showdown shows some hunters tracking down a boss. Just as the raven banter has hinted at, and as Crytek teased a possible raven boss in December, the monstrous creature appears to have raven characteristics based on a few clues, such as feathers, nests, and squawks. On top of that, the video ends with a quick recap of what appears to be a limited-time event called “As The Crow Flies” running from March 24 to April 12.

The As The Crow Flies event would not be the first in the game, as Hunt: Showdown’s first event was Halloween. This most recent event will perhaps reveal the highly anticipated new boss in a limited time event. The event will most likely give players the opportunity to unlock gear, but after the event is over, the boss will remain in the game. Of course, these aspects are speculation until Crytek confirms it.
Hunt: Showdown is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
