Less than a week after its release, Immortal: Fenyx Rising has two new trailers to give us an idea of what the Ubisoft game is about. Right now many media are already publishing their analyzes, but it is still too early for me to have a note in Metacritic, yes, it seems that it will be a game that will generate very divided opinions.
The launch trailer is more cinematic and shows images from different parts of the world, the protagonist at different times and a couple of scenes that show a couple of Greek gods. In general, a title is revealed that is not taken too seriously and that has moments of humor.
Meeting Fenyx
On the other hand, the so-called “Deep Dive trailer shows more playability. Immortal: Fenyx Rising is presented as an action and adventure game in an open world in which we control Fenyx, the last hope of the gods. We receive weapons and gifts to be able to fight monsters and mythological creatures and a mount to explore the vast world created by Ubisoft.
In addition, a bird with special attacks will accompany us, we can fly over the map and we will have contact only with Hermes, the only God who remains in normal conditions. The story has yet to be revealed, but there seems to be an imbalance on Olympus and needs to be fixed.
The trailer also showed phases of the combat that will be in real time and that some media have already called as a mix between Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Finally, Ubi announced a extension for explorers that can be used on Twitch and that basically lets you “hunt down monsters” while watching a streamer playing this new installment. After installing it, you just have to click on the figures that appear from time to time to win skins for Fenyx, and the trailer also revealed that we can even change sex in the game and get multiple customization options.
Immortal: Fenyx Rising will premiere in North America on December 3 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Switch, Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
