Josef Fares is back to comment the second trailer for It Takes Two, a cooperative game that features Cody and May, a couple who are about to get divorced, but a wish from their daughter turns them into dolls.
This situation places the player in control of one of these characters who must collaborate with the other to overcome the incredible situation in which they find themselves. The game comes from Hazelight and Josef Fares, the developer known for A Way Out, another cooperative title, and Fares for being the director who presented that game at the Game Awards in an unorthodox way.
Another work for couples
Despite the episode Fares has already won the affection of people who remember him as the developer of cooperative titles, It Takes Two will be one of those and the truth is that it promises to be one of the best in this subgenre that was previously a lot more common.
Fares presented two levels, one in a forest and the other in a snowy world. The two characters become knitted dolls, making them small in a huge world. In the first world they make a deal with squirrels that must fight against bees for their natural habitat. This translates into our characters using “squirrel” weapons, jumping through different scenarios within a tree and solving puzzles as a couple.
Later, Cody will acquire the ability to control time, which he achieves when his partner complains that he has no notion of lost time. Whereas May can be cloned due to Cody’s complaint that she is never home. Fares promises to communicate through gameplay a way to relate and solve problems with our loved ones, so it sounds interesting.
Also, if you want to play it with a friend or partner, you only need a copy of the game thanks to the Friend Pass. The only condition is that they must be on the same platform and have an Origin account.
It Takes Two is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (Origin and Steam) on March 26.
