Metal Gear Solid V was to close the story of the saga. With a Hideo Kojima unleashed, but also in another fight with Konami, the Japanese wanted to take the Metal Gear experience a step further with a less controversial format.
And it is that contrary to Kojima’s usual style, Metal Gear Solid V lIt hit stores in two parts. A first composed of a prologue, Ground Zeroes, and later of the complete video game, The Phantom Pain.
Today and almost 10 years after the launch of Ground zeros, Hideo confirmed several details around the prologue. Via his Twitter account, the Japanese assured that it was an experience.
“I’m the one who released Ground Zeroes. Game development takes 4-5 years. Times change during production”; he was noticed on the social network “So I thought of an episodic format, like a series, where each chapter is produced and broadcast. We thought it was an experiment”; finally added.
Much of the criticism of Ground Zeroes in its day was tied to the starting price (30 dollars) in addition to your duration. A prologue that knew little, very little, considering it could barely last 60 minutes.
